Comprehensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Services

Our Adult Outpatient Behavioral services offer patients aged 18 to 60 recovery and management of behavioral health disorders through active treatment by a multidisciplinary team of caring professionals who work collaboratively with the patient and family members.  Services are provided at 88 Grandview Avenue in Waterbury.

Expertise

Staffed by a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals including:

  • Board Certified Psychiatrists
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Workers
  • Psychiatric Nurses

Partial Hospital Program (PHP)

The most intensive level of ambulatory care, PHP provides four hours of therapy daily, Monday through Friday. Treatment includes:

  • Initial comprehensive psychiatric assessment and evaluation
  • Specialized group therapy including DBT skills, coping skills, emotion regulation
  • Medication evaluation and management
  • Individual therapy
  • Family and couples therapy, when clinically indicated

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP is an intensive program providing three hours of daily therapy for up to four  days per week. IOP is recommended for those individuals who do not require the intensity of a partial hospital program but weekly outpatient services are inadequate.  Treatment includes:

  • Initial comprehensive psychiatric assessment and evaluation
  • Specialized group therapy including DBT skills, coping skills, emotion regulation
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidenced-based cognitive therapy targeting symptoms of extreme mood changes and/or self-destructive behavior
  • Medication evaluation and management

Outpatient Services

A variety of outpatient services are offered, including:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric assessment
  • Group Therapy including:
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Symptom Management
  • Coping Skills
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Grief and Loss
  • Medication evaluation and monitoring
  • Support and education for family members
  • Collaboration with primary care physicians and other care providers
  • Flexible hours to meet individual client needs
