Car Seat

Baby Comes Home!

You must have a car seat to take the baby home. The Greater Waterbury Area has many local police departments who can assist you on how to use and properly install your baby’s car seat.  (see the list at the bottom of this page)

Observe these rules when driving with your baby:

  • Never hold your baby in your arms while in the car.
  • Babies must ride in the back seat of the car, in a car seat that is rear facing, and correct for the weight of the child.
  • Everyone in the car needs to buckle up.
  • Ask for help if you need it.

Car Seat Installation Check

Don’t wait for your delivery date to install your car seat. If you need assistance, make an appointment with a certified technician in your area at least 4 weeks before your delivery date.
