Sickle Cell Support Group

This is a community organization with the mission to connect and provide support and awareness to those living with and affected by Sickle Cell in Waterbury, Conn.

The Sickle Cell Support Group meets on the second Friday of every month.

Location: Bizzozero Conference Room, 4th floor, UConn Health Waterbury Hospital

Community conversations can and will be held to raise awareness and possibly raise funds to support the Sickle Cell Warriors and their activities/events. The support group will be a safe space for those dealing with and affected by sickle cell to come and express themselves with the understanding and support of their peers.

Support group meetings will include a check-in, icebreakers, games, and open group conversations. Meetings may also include light snacks and refreshments.

The Sickle Cell Support Group is looking for Sickle Cell Warriors and those affected by Sickle Cell, ages 16 and up. All members are welcome.
