Our services are constantly evolving to take advantage of the latest technology and to continually strengthen care for patients. UConn Health Waterbury Hospital meets and exceeds measures for quality and excellence in cardiac care.   And, we excel in emergencies where every second matters. UConn Health Waterbury Hospital is an international leader in orthopedic surgery. Our highly trained and experienced orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants offer a unique patient-centered, home-like environment. We are well-known for our Joint Replacement Center, in particular our pioneering efforts for minimally invasive total hip replacement and innovative partial knee procedures.

UConn Health Waterbury Hospital’s Center for Surgical Innovation is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary center with highly trained surgeons and state-of-the-art technology.   Our expert surgeons and surgical teams apply innovative techniques in the field of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) in many specialty areas.  Minimally invasive procedures are performed through tiny incisions, using either laparoscopic or robotics systems.  Because the incisions are small, patients tend to have quicker recovery times and less discomfort than with conventional surgery.   Minimally invasive procedures, combined with progressive approaches to pain management, offers patients at Waterbury Hospital a faster way to get back to their lives.

Our Family Birthing Center offers a range of child birthing options for mothers. Our caring nurses and talented doctors ensure that mothers and families have the best experience.
