UConn Health Waterbury Hospital’s medical staff continues to be recognized among the best in the nation, with 28 physicians named to the 2026 “Top Doctors” list published in the May issue of Connecticut Magazine.

Representing a wide range of specialties, the honored physicians were selected through a rigorous peer-review process conducted in collaboration with Castle Connolly, a leading independent healthcare research organization. Physicians are nominated by their peers, and researchers evaluate factors including hospital and academic appointments, research activity, professional reputation, and patient outcomes.

The final list represents approximately the top 7% of practicing physicians in the United States, making this recognition a significant achievement and a testament to the exceptional care provided by our medical staff.
