UCONN HEALTH WATERBURY HOSPITAL EARNS NATIONAL DISTINCTION FOR TREATMENT OF DIABETES, HEART ARRYTHMIA AND PHNEUMONIA

 UConn Health Waterbury Hospital has been named a High Performing Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for the quality of care it provides to patients with Diabetes, Heart Arrhythmia, and Pneumonia, according to the recently released 2026–27 Best Hospitals rankings.

This recognition is among the most respected distinctions in U.S. hospital performance, reflecting exceptional outcomes, patient experience, and clinical excellence across key conditions and procedures. Waterbury Hospital’s inclusion in this year’s report places it among an elite group of hospitals nationwide.

U.S. News & World Report evaluates more than 4,500 hospitals nationwide across 15 specialties and multiple common conditions. Rankings are based on objective measures including patient outcomes, volume, experience, and quality indicators drawn from Medicare data and other reputable sources.

In 2026 UConn Health Waterbury Hospital has earned other quality awards including American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Receiving Honor Roll Silver and Diabetes Honor roll.
