Waterbury Hospital has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, recognizing its commitment to providing high-quality, research-based stroke care that improves outcomes and saves lives.
This is the highest level of recognition in the program and marks the second consecutive year that Waterbury Hospital has achieved this prestigious distinction. Quick diagnosis and proper treatment are essential to minimizing brain damage and improving patient recovery. Waterbury Hospital’s performance demonstrates a strong focus on timely and effective intervention in acute stroke cases as well as a provider who works to prevent stroke by knowing the signs of stroke.
