Outpatient Nutrition Services
At Waterbury Hospital, outpatient nutrition services are provided by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). RDNs are food and nutrition experts with the training and credentials to translate nutrition science into practical solutions for healthy living. A nutrition consultation includes an initial visit, where the registered dietitian nutritionist determines your needs and works with you to set goals and formulate an individualized plan for success. Typically, at least one follow-up appointment is recommended to ensure success with reaching your health and nutrition goals. Initial appointments are 60 minutes and follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes in length.
