Brendan J. Comer, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction and joint replacement surgery. He is dedicated to helping patients overcome pain and restore mobility through advanced surgical techniques and individualized treatment plans. With expertise in hip and knee replacement, Dr. Comer focuses on improving quality of life for patients suffering from arthritis, joint degeneration, trauma, and other conditions affecting the lower extremities.
Dr. Comer earned his medical degree from the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency through the Henry Ford Providence Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in Detroit, Michigan, where he received extensive training in the management of musculoskeletal injuries and complex orthopaedic conditions. Following residency, he pursued advanced subspecialty training through the prestigious Chase-Bozic Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, where he focused on primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgery.
Dr. Comer specializes in total hip replacement, including the direct anterior approach, total and partial knee replacement, robotic-assisted and computer-navigated joint replacement surgery, revision hip and knee replacement, and the treatment of complications such as periprosthetic fractures and infection following joint replacement. His training in the latest surgical technologies allows him to provide patients with innovative treatment options designed to improve precision, enhance recovery, and optimize outcomes.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Comer has contributed to orthopaedic research and has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on joint replacement and surgical outcomes.
