Residency Requirements

The residency program begins July 1 of the current year and ends June 30 of the subsequent year.

Required clinical rotations include two rotation blocks of critical care and internal medicine and one rotation block of emergency medicine, pain management and psychiatry. Other requirements include:

  • Longitudinal Ambulatory Care experience at the Staywell at Chase Outpatient Center Clinic (clinic includes Patient Referrals, Anticoagulation & Diabetes clinics)
  • Additional required rotations include institutional, informatics, and pharmacy administration
  • A poster presentation for the annual ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting
  • Successful completion and platform presentation of a residency project at the Eastern States Resident Conference
  • Completed manuscript for publication
  • Two evenings a week and every third weekend (distributive and clinical responsibilities)

Application Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACPE Accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Program 'V Adhere to the rules of the Residency Matching Program
  • Be eligible for licensure in Connecticut
  • United States Citizen or permanent resident
